I received an email from Christy that Jon passed away Saturday afternoon. There is no other information as of yet. We will be suspending coaching for healing and recovery threads for the time being. Anyone who is in private coaching please be patient as we get through this horrible loss and the emotions that we all are going through. When more information is available it will be posted here.

My heart goes out to Christy and the kids. May God be with them through this heart wrenching time.

I invite you to share your sympathies to Jon's family in this thread.

With Love

My lord? Is this a joke? Are you saying the one who gave us all hopes the one I was supposed to talk to soon is gone? This is an extremely sad news and if that is true I am speechless...

Dear John, we all owe you so much...

I sincerely everything work out for Christy's family.

My heart achs for the whole family. Jon gave of himself and all he asked from us was to do our part. I have never known a person that gave so much of himself. I have so many questions on where to go from here but at this time it is not about me but the pain and lose to the whole family. My prayers are with you every step of the way. I am very sorry for your lose. A recoverying friend. Keith

This is the most heartbreaking news. I feel deep sadness at this loss. Jon was one of the most important people in my life. He was the light that guided me out of darkness. You are in my heart Jon and you always will be. I will light a candle for you. My deepest sympathy goes to Christy and the children, I will pray for you all.

This is pattypp signed in under my husband's id. As he can't post directly as per probation restrictions, he asked me to post this for him under his id:

I am incredibly saddened by the loss of Coach Jon, and want to offer my deepest
sympathies to Christy, Jon's children, and loved ones. I also wish to extend my
condolences to the other coaches, and the entire RN community, for whom Jon's
selfless dedication and generous spirit touched and helped so many.

I wrote to Jon in February asking for assistance in working the site, because I
can only read from it--not post--due to my probation restrictions. Jon
GENEROUSLY offered to coach me pro bono in exchange for my programming services
down the road, after I had completed the recovery workshop and had been restored
to health. As time went by, and I saw the benefits of RN not only for myself,
but for my beloved wife Patty (pattypp), I decided that when the time was right
I would like to be a volunteer coach for other SAs. Patty, too, wants to be a
coach when the time is right for her.

I can honestly say that through our work at RN--and ultimately Coach Jon's
wisdom and guidance--that our lives were literally saved. I hope I can say the
same about my relationship with Patty in the months to come.

Again--my thoughts are with Jon's family and the entire RN community during this
time of great sorrow for us all.

Kind regards,
Patrick (imustchange)

I come to RN very irregularly, and still have a long way to go in my own healing process. I am the former partner of a SLA who "vanished".

RN was a huge help for me, and I still intend to work the lessons as I am emotionally able to do so.

I want to give my heartfelt condolences to Jon's family and the entire RN community. This is a phenomenal group, and a safe and enlightened place. For over four years I have been searching and re-searching in order to find my way back to psychological and spiritual health. All of you have been hugely instrumental . . . many times (like tonight) I would just log in to read what you all so bravely and devotedly share. It has and will continue to be a guiding light for me.

Peace, light and love to all!

I found this site just recently... I was lost before...

Just a simple sentence:

Thanks, Jon... Really. I never spoke to you, but I feel I missed someone great.

May the family know how special a person he was. May they carry on all that he is. May they heal their broken hearts with the giving that he always had. I did not know him personally. But anyone that can do all this to help others had angel wings on earth already. God bless his family and friends.
