Coach Rain, This is a brilliant idea. Sometimes a few well chosen words at the start of my day can help me get off on the right foot. Thankyou and here's my first contribution.

Backgrounds and circumstances may affect on who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I got into an argument with a girlfriend inside of a tent. That's a bad place for an argument. Cause then I tried to walk out, and slam the flap. How are you supposed to express your anger in this situation? Zip it up really quick?

Some Affirmations that have helped me:

*New Day -- New Hope

*I am a beautiful woman.
I am precious and strong.
I deserve to be loved and valued.
I can deal with all of life's challenges.
I am OK.

*I am releasing myself from the pain of the past,
living now only in the present.

*I draw upon everything that I am
and everything I have been given.

*I accept God's healing.

My self image and self esteem are fine. My breasts were enticingly heavy and soft when I was young. Now they are the breasts that suckled twin infants and housed the heart that loved, nurtured and guided them for a decade and a half. They are breasts that have not been offered for joy to any man other than the one to whom I promised my heart and soul. There are no pair of breasts on the internet that are sexier than that.

A core truth: No matter what a man's(or women's) past may have been, his future is spotless.

This is turning into a great post; a very interesting read. Thank you everyone.

You may not be in control of all of your emotional reactions, but you are forever responsible for controlling your responses to those reactions. Ensuring that your behavioral choices do not inflict damage to your values.

I am so happy and greatful, that you made this a part of RN.

I couldn't choose, so here are my two for the day.

I will not criticize my neighbor until I have walked a mile in their moccasins.

First time shame on you, second time shame on me.

Love, joy, and peace are deep states of Being, or rather three aspects of the state of inner connectedness with Being. As such, they have no opposite. This is because they arise from beyond the mind.

Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.

All cravings are the mind seeking salvation or fulfillment in external things...

from "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle

Fourteen Black Paintings

From the pain … comes the dream

From the dream … comes the vision

From the vision … comes the people

From the people … comes the power

From this power …

Comes the change.

"Hey, I'm not afraid any more! I said I'm not afraid any more! Do you hear me? I'm not afraid any more!"
--Kevin McCallister, "Home Alone"

For some reason, I woke up this morning with this quote running through my head. It's how I feel today. Who knows how I'll feel tomorrow, but I'm reveling in it for today. :)
