Vision Work for Rose1

Vision Work - Rose1, April 14, 2019

At the end of my life, what would I want people to say about me?
She cared and you could tell
My life was better for having known Rose1
Rose1 brought a sense of calm and peace to every situation
Rose1 was faithful
Rose1 did her best every day
Rose1 didn’t force her opinion on others
Rose1 listened well
Rose1 brought comfort and wisdom
When it was important to be open and honest, she did it with kindness, though it may have been painful
Fear did not rule Rose1’s life
Rose1 extended grace and mercy
Rose1 could see situations from many perspectives

As a child I:
Was compliant
Was quiet
Was cooperative
Spent time alone
Was religious
Loved learning
Wanted to please people
Avoided conflict
Had just a few close friends
Was smart

What energizes or inspires me?
Working on a common goal with people I love and love being with
What are some natural talents:
I am pretty handy. I can figure out how things work and how to fix them.
I can follow directions and be creative
I would like more… activities, laughter, joy, peace, working together healthily with husband

I would like less….avoiding conflict, fear, loneliness

Who would I want most to be like? Me. I like me (most of the time. I don’t like me when I am overcome with fear)

Personal qualities that appeal to me: Kindness, peacefulness, genuine concern for others, honesty, emotional health, self-awareness, willingness to work on self, non-blaming, realistics, dreams/plans are good but must be doable and supported by wise/practical action

What do I want more than anything else in this world? I want a healthy husband and my husband. (Healthy = emotionally intelligent; physically healthy; self-aware; not self-deceiving; not addicted; able to care financially for self/family; wise; respected; empathetic; really interested in me as a person)

Things I would want:
Modest house in the country - not on a busy noisy street!
A place for my parents there too.
Camping trailer maybe
Reliable, well-cared for, newer vehicle
A beautiful flower garden
Someone to care for my flower garden along side of me
A view
A sunroom for breakfast and a sunroom for end of day
Rewarding work
My people all around me
I would take my whole family on a warm vacation - Catalina Island maybe? Every year somewhere different.

I like to talk about ideas. Gossip makes me uncomfortable

What motivates me? Seeing others prosper emotionally/relationally

Value words that appeal to me: acceptance, affection, amazement, authenticity balance, beauty, beliefs, calmness, capability, caring, clear-mindedness, communication, companionship, compassion, connection, contentment, delight, dependability, emotional maturity, empathy, encouragement, faith, faithfulness, family, flexibility, friendliness, friendship, grae, gratitude, harmony, health, healthfulness, heart, humor, intimacy, joy, joyfulness, kindness, kindheartedness, liberation, likability, love, marriage, mercy, modesty, openness, partnership, peace, pleasing others, problem solving, purity, realism, relationship, relaxation, reliability, rest, resourcefulness, self-care, self-control, selflessness, self-reliance, silliness, spirituality, thankfulness, tranquility, transcendence, trust, trustworthiness, truth, truthfulness, understanding, unflappability, warmth, zeal.

Areas of my life that are controlled by me:
Spiritual walk
How I use $$$
Will I or will I not be married
What is my healthy part in marriage - Tending my garden is healthy.
Adult Children
My relationships with my adult children
My parents/sibs
My relationships with my parents and siblings
Who will be my closest friends?
How much time will I spend with my closest friends?

Hello Rose
welcome to RN
Please be aware that this your initial post is in the wrong place
I suggest that if you are serious and committed to recovery and being here then you copy and paste into the recovery forum then get on with the lessons posting via the reply key thus keeping the record of your journey as one thread

If not serious and committed then all of the best and hoping that you do have a re think :pe:

Remember recovery is more than abstinence
Every transition begins with an ending
Do not confuse happiness with seeking pleasure
stay healthy keep safe
