Lesson 41 - Mastering awareness of Boundaries in myself and others
-------------
Mini Interview with my Mom:
I asked my mom about the values and boundaries that she uses to guide her life and her decisions. Through some discussion and clarification on what i was asking i found out a few things

1. She Values Keeping your word - Honesty, Integrity
Boundary for this is a veto system that she uses: if someone repeatedly shows that they do not keep their word then she comes up with a 'backup plan' in case that person bows out of an obligation. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me

2.She values working hard or as she called it "eating what you kill" - Perserverance, Getting out of Comfort Zone
Her boundary on this is to not put too much reliance on others in order to accomplish things, she tries to make it so she can handle herself in case things mess up or someone bows out

3.She Values putting forth your best effort - no half measures
Boundary - may be she will not promise or do something that she feels she cannot follow through on

4.She values Health
Boundary - she will not drink or smoke because she doesnt like that stuff.

I dont plan on doing so anytime soon but i will try to keep in mind not to drink or smoke around my mom, I will also keep in mind her boundary of Keeping your word because I tend to neglect that and take my mom for granted.
