Lesson 1
A. Where am I in regards to the three keys to establishing a successful foundation to change?
1) I am taking responsibility to recover though at times my commitment to recover varies
2) At times, especially if I FAP, n I do feel a lot of guild/shame and then give up for a period of time. But I am also actively take steps to address my guilt and shame. For me it is about going to God and asking for forgiveness and believing that He does forgive me.
3) Often in the past I think I have been unrealistic and thought it would happen quickly and when it didn’t I would get discouraged.

B. reasons why I seek recovery include:

• To be honest with my wife
• To honor my marriage
• To be a good role model for my children
• To honor God
• To live a life that is a good example for others
• To live a healthy life where I am getting enough sleep
• To have the energy to do things that make a difference in my life and the life of others
• To be at peace with myself
• To live according to what I believe
• To feel good about how I am living my life
• To make room for genuine growth in my life, personally and spiritually

Hello Eleutheria
and welcome to RN

I am taking responsibility to recover though at times my commitment to recover varies

starting out most have reservations regarding total commitment
because we believe that we need our addiction
well we dont
it harms us and others and really serves no purpose
so please commit totally

if you really do want to improve your life and to recover from your addiction then you are at a good place to make that wish reality
Commit , fully and completely
work through the lessons and understand them , if you miss something ask on the help forum , assistance is always on hand
coaches and mentors are likely to drop by occasionally but if not, don't worry as this is generally a good indicator that you are on the right path

the path is long and difficult but it is well proven and you are not alone
we usually suggest completing about 3 lessons a week but spending time every day posting and reading
get to know your addiction and see yourself with honesty and openness

remember to work at your own pace and its not a race indeed some consider recovery to be a journey rather than a destination

remember the only person that can make these changes is you, so the hard work needs to come from you

reasons for change
perhaps honour myself could be included
looking forwards to reading your posts and wishing you all the best

Remember recovery is more than abstinence
Every transition begins with an ending
Do not confuse happiness with seeking pleasure
stay healthy keep safe

Lesson 2 Vision
I am not looking at pornography or engaging in masturbation at all and am dealing with my feelings whether it is frustration or boredom in a healthy way: through journaling, talking with others and talking to god.

I feel close to God and spend time with Him daily, whether it is reading the bible or just being in His presence. I have a sense that He is guiding me in my life and also using me to impact others, whether it is just to show His love or in a more tangible way, such as giving money to a struggling person and walking with them through their problems

Physical Health
I am healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. I eat well and my skin is completely healed. I am active, biking, long boarding, skiing and so on. I feel good for my age and have lots of energy. I am also sleeping well.

I have a good balance between work and my personal life. I live in or near a nature where I can appreciate the beauty of God and His creation. I have time for my friends and family.

I am connecting with people in a genuine, caring way and I am making a difference in their lives, whether it is just by being there for them or helping them in practical way, such as giving money, cooking meals, and so on. I am involved with a wide range of men from all walks of life. This could be at work or in my personal life. I am coaching people, helping them to get past the things that hold them back both spiritually or personal growth wise.

I have healthy relationships with my children and wife. I spend time with them, whether it is eating together or going on a walk. I am there for my family to support them when they are struggling. I enjoy being with my wife and I do lots of activities with her. I also have healthy relationships with other men and meet with men on a regular basis to share problems or just talk about life. I am involved with both young and older men.

I am making a difference in a real way in the lives of others. I am giving people hope and walking with them as they take action in their own lives to address barriers that are holding them back. I meeting one to one with people as well as facilitating personal growth workshop that impact people .
