Hi all

I am really glad to be here. I am going to try the self-guided stream and see how I go.

I am married with kids. Been trying to break these addictive patterns for a couple of years, but never really taken it seriously.

Currently on a 20 day streak of no porn. I feel so much better without it in my life, I am happier and my family is too.

I have a journal on, but I will try post my notes here too. I will use this thread to chart my journal as it relates to the self-guided stream.

I'm very fortunate and so many wonderful things in my life to bring me pleasure - including a desire to give back to the world. I am some good tools now in terms of my mindset. I am trying to practice stoicism and this helps me.

Thank you for reading.

I had a bit of a read around the site. I am going to make a habit of coming here each day and reading lessons and trying to put things into practice. I really feel like the information here is going to resonate with me - I already spend time thinking about my values, trying to do the right thing for the sake of it. I am a very goal driven person.

I am lucky in that my P viewing has been pretty tame compatred to what I have read some ppl get up to (not judging). Perhaps if I stop now I will not escalate.

Was just reading this and it really resonates with me.

This group, with a firm grasp of the life that they are striving to develop, recognize that a trigger isn't a battle that needs to be fought--it is an awareness that needs to be developed. Rather than each trigger being an emotionally draining, endless fight against possible relapse...they learn to achieve emotional fulfillment by learning to perceive each trigger as an opportunity.

Let's do this!

Just checking in.

I've been thinking about using this course for sometime.

I had my first real challenge yesterday, after 20 days or so I viewed some P but did not o. I stopped myself. Not sure I ever did that before when trying to recover.

Today my Stoic journal talked about trying to win small battles. If I can make it through today, I will be fine.

Partner rejected advances last night, don;t blame her I was a bit of a jerk during the we.

Hello TP and welcome to RN
I am going to try the self-guided stream and see how I go.
I've been thinking about using this course for sometime.

what do you have to lose?
Perhaps you will gain but believe me only should you really want to
THE Coach wrote and L2R has the signature

Should you fail to permanently recover from your addiction, it will be due to your inability to fully commit .

that very simple statement speaks volumes

So if you really do want to improve your life and to recover from your addiction then you are at a good place to make that wish reality
Commit , fully and completely
work through the lessons and understand them , if you miss something ask on the help forum , assistance is always on hand
coaches and mentors are likely to drop by occasionally but if not, don't worry as this is generally a good indicator that you are on the right path

the path is long and difficult but it is well proven and you are not alone
we usually suggest completing about 3 lessons a week but spending time every day posting and reading
get to know your addiction and see yourself with honesty and openness

remember to work at your own pace and its not a race indeed some consider recovery to be a journey rather than a destination
remember the only person that can make these changes is you, so the hard work needs to come from you
looking forwards to reading your posts and wishing you all the best

I never saw your message as I did not make it far. I did not commit.

I forgot I had a thread, so I made a new one.
