I am so glad to be back after 4 years of continued misery with pornography. As I re-read a portion of the Orientation material, I was so grateful for better understanding the need for a "death" to occur if I am to live. And how true it has been that each time that I was successful in being porn free for a period of time, I ALWAYS experienced feeling "dead inside" (pornography deceived me into thinking that it was giving me life).
I am bracing myself to experience the "death" of a close "friend", "comforter" and deceiver which I have been so close to. As a 61 year old man who has had this companion for 53 years or so, I still believe that there will be life for me after pornography use. For I am CERTAINLY facing a premature death should I continue being addicted to this Satanic provision. And my choice is to out live this ""pleasant faced" monster.
Any and all support from you, my fellow sufferers will be so gratefully received and acknowledge. Thank you again Recovery Nation.
