If you can't seem to find your healing or recovery thread, but you know you created it per the instructions on "How to Post in the Forums", then you can use the "Search" function to locate it (or any other thread/topic you are interested in finding, providing you know the title, or the author, or what the thread is about).

    1. Click on the Search function located in the centre of the screen at the top the board index page, just below the "Recovery Nation" header.

    2. Type your username in the "Search for Author" bar. This is the most straightforward way for you to find your own healing or recovery thread. If you are looking for a thread by someone else, type their username in the box instead. If you can't remember who authored the thread, or who participated in it, then use the keyword box.

    3. Type the keywords used in the title (if you remember it) or that are most likely used in the conversation. For example, "leave a penny" will turn up all threads that have two or more of the words. You can also choose "search any terms" but then you will get all threads that have any one of the words (not a good idea for keeping results narrow).

    4. To narrow your search further, select the forum that you expect to find your post in. For example, the "leave a penny" thread is located in the "Self-Directed Partner's Healing Development" forum, and more specifically, in the "Community Support Forum: Partner's". Clicking either of these will restrict the search to only those forums (the first one will include a search of both community support threads and personal healing threads).
