1) Actively committing yourself to change.

I am not only committed to this change, I have conviction towards the change. This change will make my life more free and open to do things for me and not be absorbed in the fear and guilt that accompany the actions and choices I have made.

2) Not allowing guilt/shame to sabotage my commitment to change.

This has been a tough one, since I know that all of the problems I am experiencing are my fault. The guilt I feel is real and I am terrified by what may come because of my actions. I haven't been able to let go of any guilt yet, due to my circumstances. I am telling myself I don't deserve to be happy and I deserve all I am getting.

3) Allowing time to heal.

I know that this will take time and I am willing to fight the fight! I will give myself time to change and heal from this, because I want to be a happy guilt free person. My life will be better because of it.

Reasons I want CHANGE!!!!!

1) Honesty with my wife
2) Closeness with my wife
3) Ability to have an open loving relationship
4) Ability to live without fear
5) Ability to live without guilt
6) Ability to show my children the correct way to live
7) Life without shame
8) Ability to grow in my community
9) Ability to complete tasks
10) Ability to stay focused on my life and goals
11) I want the feeling of embarrassment gone

I want to guide myself...the child I was...to a happy life. One that is free from shame, guilt and FEAR!!!!! A life of innocence and one that can have a deep loving relationship. This can only be done by commitment to my recovery.
