Lesson 12: Unhealthy Recovery Patterns

Sometime I loss the momentum of recovery due to 2 to 3 days gap
I was measuring my success by abstinence and not by emotional stability.
If i relapse then my mind will shake and I will act out for 3--4 times that day.
I always keep one assumption that when I am recovered and to my renowned confidence/personality any attractive women approach me then I shouldn't say no to her.
Consequences of my addiction are huge.
I can imagine life without addiction but it feels, that life may be boring and I won't be maintaining happy mood.

Lesson 13: Healthy Pattern

I try to imagine myself without addiction.
If, I couldn't understand any lesson, I do it again.
I try to implement the lesson and understand practically, and so give more time if needed.
As of now, I have only values so know what to do when emotions are normal but feel powerless on reactive situation.
Sometime life looks very boring.
I am trying to learn new behavior.

Lesson 16: Understanding Addiction I

Addiction has always helped me to maintain a feel good state.
It helped during stress, workload, failure and fear
It helped me to maintain patience during frustration, performance pressure and hyper exciting moments.
A good tool to pass the boredom.
Power to create romantic images which I can't achieve in real.

Lesson 18: Understanding Addiction III

I used to look at pictures in papers and then eventually got introduced to adult contents on internet. At initial days few short videos were enough but on later parts I stayed on internet for many hours and used to look for hundreds of variety videos. And my frequency to perform this ritual became 3 times a week. With time I evolved and combined many other rituals to boost my experience.

Thanks for your continuous mentoring.. Things are moving, however my pace is little slow.
My main focus in on practical implementation of these information. Currently focus is to gain experience on life values and use them to replace the addictive rituals. Thanks Again!!

Lesson 20: Mastering Your Addiction

Addiction started as an pleasing activity in my life. I used it to overcome my boredom and later relied completely for fun part of my life. Initially it was just few seducing scenes on TV then hours long porn and later reached up-to few hookups. Addiction helped me to overcome many traumas of my life, changing school, move to a different city, death of mother, relationship breakup and many more. It helped me to fill the social void of my life and always provided a safety guard from life’s responsibility and accountability.

After 20 chapters, I can fill my basic emotional needs through my values but it's not an easy task and require the consistence efforts. sometime i get distracted and have to push back to keep me on track. As of now, these values can't provide the emotional gratification what addiction can, So probably gaining some experience will be a helpful otherwise addiction could return as a rapid collapse when life throws a bigger challenge in future.

Lesson 21: Recovery Goals
A.
Failed to recover from addiction in 1st attempt - It’s was difficult for me to continue the recovery course because of my relationship and career status. When I was working on recovery I couldn't understand the insight of recovery and was targeting for abstinence only. In my life I never had clue about importance of Vision/Values and so it took significant time to understand the crucial elements of recovery.

Failed to achieve a great body shape - I was always disciplined in my exercises but it was getting difficult to continue with the negative consequences of my addiction. When I worked on my physique I required healthy stamina and positive mentality, but both crucial elements were highly impacted by my addiction.

B.
Successfully changed my work organization- I made it my top priority and worked actively. I planned it nicely and took help from seniors to improve my technical skills. I practiced as needed and was ready to settled with less increment while considering the long term benefits and all those assumption are true today.

Successfully purchased one land site- I Had clarity on the purpose and discussed enough with the relatives who were experts in land deals. I planned financially and took risk to get it done.

C.
I will complete my recovery workshop by July 31st of this year.

I am saying at this moment I don't have much experience on my values. And so my current stability looks very small in front of addiction.
However, my values require a small adjustment only and widely represent me correctly, who I am and what I want to be.
Thanks for continuous support.
