Just wanted to share an interesting article I saw that squares well with the recovery focus here at RN: how developing purpose/meaning in life allows people to act less impulsive and consider long-term goals above short-term emotional gratification.

Excellent read! For me, one of the areas I really had to work at was finding my purpose(s), and them filtering my distractions so that I could remain focused on the goals associated with it. It's effectively training that reinforces the values tied to long term results. It helps build consistency in all kinds of choices including in picking friends and how to occupy spare time.
