Exercise 17

My action plans to maximize my values:

Trying every single day.
Daily motivational quotes
Verbally expressing gratitude
Acknowledging and voicing my feelings, thoughts and needs; not sugar coating them
Asking myself if my actions are to push myself forward or just to try to save our marriage
Daily affirmations and meditation
Own bank account and continuing living up to my adult responsibilities
Being honest with people in my life that I'm in a marriage with an addict and Im struggling; not minimizing or sugar coating my life
Sticking to my boundaries even when I miss his sober side or get lonely
Not relying on him for emotional support
Reaching out to friends and family almost daily
Learning facts about addiction, recovery and staying grounded; not acting on emotion
Volunteering
Doing things I like: hiking with the dogs, exercising, napping, seeing friends, gardening, reading the news
Finishing house projects
Continuing to enjoy tanning, dying my hair, makeup, clothes shopping, painting my nails and girly things I like and do for me, not for men
