Good movie, great metaphor that the "monster" tracks humans by the smell of their fear.

"Danger is very real, but fear is a choice."

We all have moments we succumb to our feelings and feel like giving up. Coming back to the truth that our feelings are but one part of equation and can be distorted if we are deeply hurt or deeply caught in an addiction. Fear in particular can twist the reality so much that we forget it isn't real.
