I think I am relying on my intuition to determine fact from fiction. On another support website, it was suggested to become a truth seeker, rather than always trying to 'detect a lie' from our SA. What is the difference?? How to do that??

Seems that intuition is a good guide. Mine is almost always accurate now that I don't let anyone undermine it. As far as
any differences between detecting lies vs truth - seeking, that seems like the emphasis would not be on scrutinizing individual statements, but looking at the bigger picture of behavior and relating. But it seems to me that recognizing one's ongoing daily boundaries is important, and so if sensing dishonesty is within the scope of one's boundaries, then that's good to have too. Maybe the website was suggesting it's not a healthy use of one's time to play detective, ie checking emails, online history, etc. Although I admit I do that occasionally, like about once a week for five minutes. Is that healthy?

Well said. healthlove!! Just sensing the deception seems to be enough....trying to figure out the why of a lie is wasting energy on someone else's behavior and intentions. Commenting on and noticing when my intuition tells me he is being deceptive is enough!
